Job Summary
Private House Affairs Manager for a high-end Manhattan residence. Responsible for caretaking between visits (mail, walk-throughs, repairs coordination), and for pre-arrival preparation (housekeeping coordination, flowers, refreshments, and personal touches). Leads on-site entertaining for private dinners and cocktail events (up to 40 guests) and coordinates after-visit vendor management, service history, and compliance with building policies. Will liaise with the principal’s London office, vendors, building staff, and guests; plans and runs events from start to finish, often on short notice. Requires strong judgment, proactive communication, discretion, and the ability to work independently on a project basis with flexible scheduling. Experience managing a private luxury residence and comfort with coordinating multiple vendors and services is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience managing a private home or luxury residence preferred
- Strong judgment and ability to work independently
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Able to accept engagements on short notice in connection with the principal’s visits, and to step back during periods of residence occupancy
- Strong communication skills and comfort with messaging and coordination tools
- Operates as an independent property concierge or caretaker, ideally with other private clients
