Hourly Service Manager

Job Summary

Manage and supervise the service model, auditorium ticket sales, and guest experience while ensuring facilities remain clean, safe, and in proper working order. Perform daily opening, mid, and closing operations, conduct Take One meetings to deliver sales goals and promotions, and schedule control to ensure proper staffing levels and shift preparedness. Interview, hire, onboard, and train hourly staff, providing daily performance communication and cross-training to maximize operational efficiency. Oversee theater maintenance including visual and audio quality, assist with film ingestion and playlist building, and review profit and loss statements to audit transactions and set daily goals. Practice proactive guest management by resolving issues before they escalate and communicate regularly with leadership regarding employee issues and complaints.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Food ServSafe and Alcohol certification
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, bending, and traversing stairs on a frequent basis
  • Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to understand financial reports, analysis, and forecast
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work in a theater environment where typical levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected
  • Schedule of at least five (5) days per week
  • Flexible schedule of up to 50 hours per week
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee will walk, bend, and stand for periods of time
  • The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • The employee may be asked to light lift 25lbs to 50lbs occasionally with assistance

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or related field
  • 1+ years of restaurant management experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Restaurant knowledge, including inventory control and operations
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Displays a professional appearance and is a positive role model within the restaurant and Support office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Comfortable communicating, negotiating, and working with guests, peers, direct reports, vendors, or partners
  • High guest satisfaction expectations and focus
  • Self-motivated and results driven
  • Strong organizational and time management with the ability to multitask and delegate projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Holds self and others accountable to consistently maintain high performance standards
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, directing, and motivating a team
  • Drive and determination to get the job done
  • Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction
