Job Summary
Sell, deliver, stock, and merchandise Herr's brand snack foods to grocery retail and independent chain stores while progressively increasing customer sales volume and building relationships with key decision makers. Execute promotional programs by acquiring displays and racks, rotate credit for stale items, and manage daily inventory accuracy. Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle safety inspections, maintain a clean truck, and process orders using hand-held computers. Collect cash from customers and accurately process associated invoices. Schedule is Monday-Friday, approximately 40-45 hours weekly. Starting hourly rate is $19.00. Full-time benefit eligibility includes medical, dental, vision, and hearing insurance, plus a 401k with company match.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license in the current state of residence
- Excellent driving record
- No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years
- No DUI's within the past 3 years
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to pass a job-related assessment with a score of 70% or better
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Able to read, write, understand and speak English
- Stable work history with good references
- Sound judgment
- Ability to adapt quickly to different work and driving conditions
- Strong communication, persuasion, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively
- Ability to constantly reach
- Ability to frequently sit, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, driving and lifting up to 32 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 48 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds
- Monday-Friday approximately 40-45 hours a week schedule
