Hourly Private School Interventionist

Job Summary

Meet daily with individual or small groups of identified Title I students to facilitate research-based, best practices designed to meet individual needs. Collect, coordinate, and analyze student data related to literacy and math achievement while maintaining accurate records and reports consistently. Submit regular reports to the supervisor or coordinator and present in a professional manner. Maintain confidentiality and abide by state statutes, FSPS school board policies, and regulations. This role requires a valid Arkansas Professional Teaching License and experience in small group instruction to accelerate student achievement. Training is coordinated through the Parker Center, with assistance provided by Elementary Literacy and Math Coordinators.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Interventionist, preferred
  • Must have a valid Arkansas Professional Teaching License
  • Must have relevant years of successful classroom experience
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of standards-based, data-driven decision making
  • Must demonstrate ability to provide small group instruction to students in a manner that accelerates achievement
  • Must be willing to increase knowledge and skills through attending applicable training
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling
