Job Summary
Conduct food service and alcohol preparation at Pokes Pub in the Student Union basement, including order taking, serving beer, and making custom mocktails. Monitor food temperatures per ServSafe guidelines, organize safe storage of perishable and non-perishable products, and handle cash transactions. Perform daily opening and closing responsibilities while maintaining organized customer service. Maintain uniform daily and stand for long periods. Work flexible weekday shifts between 3:30 pm and 9:30 pm, with some weekend events possible. Must be at least 21 years old.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to take Tips Training to receive certification
- Must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus
- Must be available to work weekday availability between the times of 3:30 pm – 9:30 pm
- Some weekend events are possible for additional hours
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more with or without reasonable accommodation
- Uniform is required daily
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
