Hourly Battlefield Elementary School Special Education Paraeducator - 26/27 SY

Assist teachers in self-contained classrooms by supporting students with special needs in completing daily work assignments, maintaining instructional materials, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment that includes social skill development and personal hygiene support. Monitor and redirect student behavior during small group supervision while administering or preparing for various student assessments. Utilize specialized communication skills such as sign language or advanced computer training to facilitate two-way interaction between teachers and students. Perform additional non-instructional duties including cafeteria, bus, and hall duty as needed. This hourly, part-time role is structured on an as-needed basis for Spotsylvania County Public Schools, one of Virginia's largest school divisions serving over 24,000 students.
