Job Summary
Conduct school health services including physical examinations, immunizations, and vision/hearing tests per State and Department of Education guidelines. Assume responsibility for selecting and referring students needing medical or dental care, while administering necessary nursing procedures based on doctor's orders. Tend to emergency situations for students and staff, report medical matters to parents, physicians, and agencies, and document all office visits. Prepare health supply orders and maintain inventory. Hold a current RN license with a bachelor's degree and three years of experience, or possess a School Nurse Teacher certification issued by RIDE.
