Job Summary
Manage an operation by efficiently supervising production and sales to ensure pit and mine activities meet plan specifications. Control costs to meet budgets, identify deficiencies for continuous improvement, and directly oversee mine and pit planning. Effectively manage staff through clear performance objectives, regular feedback, and development training while ensuring compliance with all Company and Government policies. Assist in budgeting and forecasting and actively engage with the local community. This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years in operations and engineering with aggregate processing experience, a proven safety record meeting MSHA standards, and basic surveying skills. Wages are based on experience at our Hickman County Quarry.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operations and engineering
- significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and surface quarrying
- Basic surveying and mapping skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards
- Ability to develop strong leadership at the lead person and foreman levels
- Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow
- Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications
- Possess strong basic math knowledge
