Job Summary
Develop strategy for the Energy Division by translating priorities into actionable business plans covering portfolio optimization, capital allocation, and resource prioritization. Identify, originate, and evaluate new business opportunities across the Gas Value Chain and Low Carbon Fuel sectors, leading commercial assessments, market analysis, and financial modeling. Structure and execute transactions including partnerships, tolling arrangements, and equity investments with end-to-end ownership from origination through execution. Coordinate with global teams and external partners to manage cross-functional projects while driving internal approvals and stakeholder alignment across Mitsui's global organization.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Strong understanding of energy value chains across oil, gas, LNG, and power, with awareness of Low Carbon Fuel / biofuel dynamics
- Proven experience in corporate strategy, investment evaluation, and portfolio optimization for large-scale energy/infrastructure assets
- Willingness and capability to explore opportunities independently
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities with strong proficiency in Excel and data tools in addition to the capability to use computer software, such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other MS Office suites
- Good external and internal communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with management of partners, Mitsui Group Companies, portfolio companies, and co-investors
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to adapt to a cross-cultural environment
- Minimum ten (10) years working experience in energy sector
