Job Summary
Cleans and services guest rooms in a timely, organized manner according to hotel standards, self-inspecting and double-checking work before notifying the supervisor or Guest Reception Desk. Reports rooms unable to be serviced, equipment needs, and lost items immediately, while maintaining linen carts, supply par levels, and security of keys. Responds quickly to guest requests and follows all safety procedures, including HAZCOM and emergency protocols. Performs physical tasks involving lifting up to 25 pounds and pushing up to 200 pounds, with a productivity target of no more than 30 minutes per room. Requires West Virginia Racing Commission licensing and ability to qualify for it.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow verbal directions and organize the work day as required
- Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission
- Must be able to express hospitality, either in verbal or through expression to guests and fellow employees
- Communication skills are necessary some of the time in order to interact with hotel guests or staff
- Able to see and recognize safety and security hazards and concerns and report or correct them
- Thoroughly familiar with all related HAZCOM information and Emergency Procedures; MSDS for any chemicals in use, Blood Borne Pathogen prevention and response
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to pull and push up to 200 pounds
