Job Summary
Regional Director of Sales for a portfolio of 6 multi-branded hotels across Canada and/or the USA, primarily home-based with periodic in-market visits (2-4 per year). Responsibilities include providing strategic outbound sales, fostering a sales-focused culture with General Managers and Front Desk staff, driving ROI and revenue milestones, activating new accounts, expanding market share through proactive prospecting, and managing a sales pipeline in Salesforce. The role requires collaboration with a POD, delivering bi-weekly strategy presentations via MS Teams, and maintaining high client satisfaction while traveling to engage hotel owners, GMs, and staff. Key skills include hotel industry sales, RFP processes, relationship building, negotiation, CRM proficiency, and strong communication and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ consecutive years of hotel guestroom sales experience in business transient, crew, and government segments within a select service hotel
- 2 years of experience in a Dual or Area hotel sales role (preferred)
- strong understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools
- ability to communicate and negotiate effectively to convert prospecting efforts into revenue
- proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- ability to establish and maintain relationships with hotel clients and team members
- general hotel operations knowledge
- proven experience using a CRM system to manage your sales pipeline
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
- ability to work remotely from home-office for extended periods
