Job Summary
Make repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment while installing light fixtures and conducting scheduled inspections. Check and fix equipment malfunctions, ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, and secure the building by monitoring and repairing security systems. Work on-site for eight hours, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders as needed. Accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year's trade-related and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- ability to collaborate within a diverse team dynamic
- ability to work calmly under pressure
- Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours at a time
- Must be able to position oneself to repair things in hard to reach areas
- Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder
- Must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools doesn't hurt either
