Job Summary
Respond to engineering service calls and complete maintenance request work orders from all departments on a timely basis. Perform preventative maintenance assignments and repair mechanical, electric, plumbing, and building systems, including renovations, painting, and carpentry. Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems, assist with energy conservation, and handle emergencies to protect guests and preserve building operations. Maintain tools and equipment in proper storage, manage budgetary guidelines, and communicate updates to the Chief Engineer. Work Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 11pm at Hampton Inn and Suites - Lincolnshire.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
- Ability to work efficiently and within a team environment
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to carry, lift, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 100-300 pounds, frequently
- Ability to frequently stand up and move about the facility
- Ability to frequently handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and crawl
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for long periods
- Ability to frequently bend, reaching, and stoop
- Wear proper attire at all times and be well groomed
- Be flexible since this is a 24/7 hotel operation
Desired Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience
- Previous maintenance experience
- HVAC and general maintenance skills
- Hotel experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
