Job Summary
Maintain and repair hotel systems and equipment; inspection, repairs and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile; painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects; pool and exercise room equipment repairs; participate in preventative maintenance programs; check stocking levels of consumables and replace as needed; collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management to complete technical and skilled projects; prepare reports during each shift for management; respond to bad weather conditions for exterior maintenance as required. Emphasizes safety, guest service, emergency responsiveness, and adherence to hotel procedures. Flexible scheduling may be required. Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Ability to complete work orders on a timely basis
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
- Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice
- Responsible for knowing Hotel emergency procedures
