Job Summary
Monitor, coordinate, and complete maintenance duties to ensure the hotel remains clean, safe, and orderly. Lead emergency repairs for equipment breakdowns and execute aesthetic improvements like painting, drywall repairs, and minor building fixes. Perform daily walk-arounds to schedule timely repairs, respond promptly to guest and vendor requests, and report safety hazards immediately. Assist housekeeping with furniture moving and guest relocation when necessary. Practice safe working habits, observe emergency protocols, and remain on-site during emergencies or inclement weather as essential personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before customers or associates of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight, measurement, volume and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to regularly stand

- Must be able to know, understand, and follow established policy and procedures in emergency situations
- Must be able to observe, repair, and report safety hazards immediately to supervisor
- Must be able to practice good body mechanics and safe working habits
- Must be able to be considered essential personnel during emergencies (during and after-hours) and/or inclement weather
- Must be able to report or remain at hotel until released by supervisor during emergencies
- Must be able to comply with attendance and call off policy
- Must be able to attend and/or participate in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings
- Must be able to willingly take on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties
- Must be able to wear clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy
