Job Summary
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems. Respond to guest and operational work orders, addressing leaks, clearing clogged drains, and managing plumbing emergencies like pipe bursts. Perform regular inspections of elevators, escalators, and water filtration systems while coordinating with engineering teams during major incidents. Shut off and isolate water systems to minimize damage and ensure consistent hot and cold water supply throughout the property. Maintain proper attendance according to scheduling needs and communicate clearly with housekeeping and front office on room status.

- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints or the particular need.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the Concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years or related experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Certification as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (i.e. HVAC, pool operation, electrical), property specific.
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
