Job Summary
Lead day-to-day operations at The McCormick Scottsdale, ensuring smooth, efficient service aligned with brand standards while driving performance through strategic planning and execution. Manage a high-performing team by coaching, developing staff, and fostering engagement through consistent feedback and recognition. Oversee facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, utilizing CMMS proficiency to track CAPEX and uphold safety protocols. Collaborate across departments to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized, solutions-first experiences. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to support hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in hospitality or related industry
- Ability to drive performance, accountability, and team engagement
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing operations, budgets, or departmental goals
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and innovation
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or in a similar role within the hospitality or facilities management sector
- Strong knowledge of CAPEX, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and relevant maintenance practices
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments and external vendors
- Technical proficiency in CMMS and/ or other maintenance management software
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols pertinent to building management
- Ability to work flexibly, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support hotel operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
