Job Summary
Conduct proactive maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces while diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues. Support the installation, repair, and upkeep of hotel facilities, prioritizing prompt responses to guest concerns and requests. Meticulously document all maintenance activities and deliver exceptional service with warmth and attentiveness. Perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating tools, working a full 8-hour day. This role ensures the full operational functionality of the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Detroit building, supporting the engineering team in maintaining best-in-class guest experiences.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience in general maintenance and repair work
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety and Chemical Standards
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification
- One year of experience in general maintenance and repair work at hotels
