Job Summary
Check the maintenance list every morning and complete daily repairs and preventive maintenance for plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems. Respond quickly to requests from Front Desk, Housekeeping, and guests while finding technical problems and solving them with minimum impact on operations. Coordinate maintenance work with other departments, help with renovations and sustainability projects, and keep clear records of all tasks. Identify safety risks immediately and support urgent maintenance outside normal hours when necessary. This role requires fully available mornings and afternoons with weekend coverage, located in Miami South Beach, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance or a similar technical role
- Knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC and general repairs
- Ability to identify technical problems and complete basic repairs independently
- Ability to understand technical manuals, instructions and maintenance documents
- Good organization and ability to prioritize different tasks
- Proactive, reliable and solution-focused attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Availability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies when required
- Maintenance qualifications or technical certificates
- Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required
- Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more
- Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
