Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance and technology issues, then complete assigned projects from the Chief Engineer. Perform trades work including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and locksmithing while making minor repairs to shop equipment. Handle trouble and complaint requests throughout the hotel and grounds, working flexible hours that include weekends and holidays. Use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely according to manufacturer instructions and MSDS requirements. This hourly role with Columbia Sussex Corporation is ideal for candidates with a strong mechanical background and minimum two years of hands-on maintenance experience who wish to grow their career within the company.
Required Qualifications
- Post high school training in engineering/maintenance related discipline
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Strong mechanical background
- Minimum 2 years hands on experience in maintenance related activity
- Previous hospitality experience
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift ( up to 75 lbs.) repetitively
- Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays
- Must be guest-oriented
- Possess excellent hospitality skills
