Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, including painting, drywall patching, minor carpentry, and fixture repairs. Replace batteries in electronic locks, thermostats, and safety detectors while performing daily inspections for hazards. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and complete minor plumbing and electrical tasks within skill level. Collaborate with the MCR Facilities Department on larger projects and assist with seasonal activities like snow removal and pressure washing. Maintain accurate work order records and ensure compliance with fire and life safety procedures. This role requires no supervisory responsibilities and supports the Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex guest experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of hotel, apartment, commercial building, or general maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of building maintenance practices
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs independently
- Ability to read and understand financial reports, policy and procedure manuals, and technical instructions
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holiday, and respond to emergency maintenance situations when required
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Climb ladders and work from elevated platforms safely

- No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex if they have been convicted, or have a pending unresolved charge of: A crime of any kind related to a crime of violence, or involving domestic violence, or a drug offense involving sale of drugs, or possession with intent to sell drugs during the immediately preceding two years
- Employee must meet the minimum criminal background requirements necessary to obtain a gaming license as stated in Menominee Tribal Code Chapter 347 and the Tribal Gaming Compact
- Hiring in Gaming Position is contingent upon criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training in building maintenance
- Experience performing basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs
- Preference given to qualified Menominee or other Native American Applicants
