Hotel Laundry Director

Job Summary

Manage the daily operations of an on-site hotel laundry facility, overseeing the processing and delivery of linens while directing staff development, training, and performance. Handle fiscal management by forecasting expenses, executing budgets, and controlling vendor contracts and labor costs. Serve as the primary liaison with the on-site client, managing customer relations, billing practices, and reporting on operations, key indicators, and human resources functions. Ensure full regulatory compliance with State, OSHA, and local requirements while overseeing preventative maintenance of equipment. Must be proficient in Spanish, capable of interpreting P&L statements, and able to work on-call for emergencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years combined operations and/or management experience
  • Must be proficient in Spanish
  • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of work site this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, or stretching
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, and other issues at the jobsite
  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and working on a computer or laundry equipment
  • BS/BA in Business Management or its equivalent
  • Minimum of two years operations and/or management experience, preferably laundry operations with large scale plants in management or commercial field
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge or production methods of scheduling, staffing, and monitoring efficiencies
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn the functions of laundry equipment and basic washroom chemistry
  • The ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
  • The ability to multi-task and establish priorities
  • The ability to maintain and demonstrate organization in a changing environment
  • Exhibits initiative, sense of urgency, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures
  • Ability to use experience of a working environment to meet established goals and objectives
  • Must be able to read and interpret a P&L statement
  • Must be knowledgeable of State, OSHA and applicable local requirements

Desired Qualifications
