Job Summary
Sort, weigh, and load linen into washers and dryers, then safely operate equipment while maintaining productivity standards. Remove clean linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkles, fold it according to standards, and place it on marked shelves before transporting it to floor linen rooms. Check washing machine drains for clogs, inform engineering of maintenance needs, and maintain a neat room by damp mopping floors and cleaning machines daily. Empty and turn off all machines at the end of the shift. This non-rotational position supports the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK, seeking local residents fluent in English.
Required Qualifications
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter
- Must be available for local Bethel residents
- This is a non-rotational position
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least six (6) months experience in the hospitality industry, hospital and/or contract cleaning
