Job Summary
Hotel Housekeeping Shift Manager oversees the housekeeping staff on the assigned shift to ensure cleanliness and professional appearance of hotel rooms and facilities; reports to the Hotel Housekeeping Manager. Start rate $22/hour, full-time, 4 days a week with 10-hour shifts. Responsibilities include observing staff to maintain high guest-service standards, monitoring performance and providing feedback, assisting with administrative needs, implementing operating standards and productivity, supervising associates during the shift, making recommendations on staffing and evaluations, identifying operational deficiencies, performing housekeeping duties during peak periods, ensuring compliance with hotel procedures, and handling other duties as assigned. Requires knowledge of chemicals and safety, strong guest-service skills, analytical ability, knowledge of cleaning machines, multitasking/project-management experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; 1 year Environmental Services/Housekeeping experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo; includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
- Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic maintenance.
- Experience in multi-tasking of projects and project management.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
- One (1) year Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience.
