Job Summary
Provides customer service to hotel guests by greeting and registering guests, suggesting and selling hotel rooms, issuing room keys, assigning rooms and setting wake up calls in a warm, friendly manner. Ensures guest safety by following security procedures including key security and guest privacy. Date stamps, sorts, and racks mail, faxes and messages. Records and communicates guest special requests and problems to appropriate department and ensures timely resolution. Answers inquiries about hotel services, registration of guests, and local attractions; provides travel directions. Checks out guests, computes bills, collects payments, and processes deposits according to cash handling procedures. Makes, confirms and cancels reservations via telephone, computer and written communications. Manages internal and external calls with courtesy. Posts charges to ledger and deposits valuables in hotel safe. Maintains shift-to-shift log and keeps lobby/front desk area neat. Adheres to KHC policies and safety standards.
