Job Summary

Controller role responsible for leading the hotel's financial operations, delivering timely monthly financial statements, monitoring hotel revenues and expenses, maintaining internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding accounting staff. Key duties include preparing the Income Journal, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, variance analysis against budget and prior year, collaborating with Department Heads to keep property operations on track, and supporting the Director of Finance with financial objectives. Requires strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with Excel/financial systems, and willingness to work long hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial accounting systems
  • Experience in hospitality financial management is desirable
  • Ability to supervise accounting staff and ensure timely financial reporting
  • Attention to internal controls and regulatory compliance
