Job Summary
Director of Finance at a Highgate Hotels property oversees all financial operations for the hotel, including cash-flow management, timely financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audits. Responsibilities include preparing monthly financial statements and cash-flow analysis, budgeting and variance analysis, maintaining compliance with licenses and contracts, analyzing data to advise management on financial objectives, maintaining accounting policies and internal controls, coordinating audits with CPA firms, supervising and developing staff, ensuring adherence to company standards, and delivering regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and annual) to leadership. Requires extensive hospitality finance/accounting experience, leadership of multiple staff, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of Hospitality Finance/Accounting experience
- Prior Controller or Director of Finance experience, preferably at a premium-branded Hotel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must supervise 2 or more employees
- Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing and in the operation of all hotel-specific systems
