Job Summary
Maintain and repair all hotel equipment including kitchen, laundry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms to minimize downtime. Conduct scheduled inspections, fix equipment malfunctions, and install or replace light fixtures and bulbs. Secure the building by monitoring, activating, and resetting automatic security systems while repairing broken locks and maintaining keys. Ensure proper storage and usage of chemicals and hazardous materials with accurate reporting. This role requires standing or sitting for eight hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders. You must accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year's trade-related and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- ability to collaborate within a diverse team dynamic
- ability to work calmly under pressure
- Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours at a time
- Must be able to position oneself to repair things in hard to reach areas
- Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder
- Must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
