Job Summary
Conduct room inspections, identify repair needs, and perform minor plumbing functions. Install or repair sheet rock, paint designated areas, and replace basic electrical fixtures. Troubleshoot kitchen equipment, repair furniture, and replace televisions. Maintain repair and preventative maintenance records while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal codes. Practice safe work habits and wear protective equipment. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as requested by your supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- experience in a hotel or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Flexible and long hours
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly courteouse and service oriented manner
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
