Job Summary
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls while performing repairs in guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas. Troubleshoot and fix PTAC units, HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and appliances to ensure Marriott quality standards before returning rooms to inventory. Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, inspect systems for potential failures, and maintain accurate logs. Assist with maintaining boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and building management systems. Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, carpentry, and minor electrical or plumbing work. Follow OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures while collaborating with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments. Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as business requires.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hotel engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of hotel mechanical systems
- Experience using preventive maintenance programs
- Ability to read work orders, maintenance manuals, and equipment specifications
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong guest service orientation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in mechanical spaces for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as business requires
