Job Summary
Hotel Cook at Kana Hotel Group responsible for preparing and directing the preparation of food following established procedures; determining quantities and supplies; ensuring availability of ingredients and substitutions; learning menus and recipes; setting up serving stations; observing sanitation, hygiene, and health standards; storing food properly with date marks; reporting equipment needs; preparing food per standard recipes and special diet orders; coordinating food production with meal serving times to maintain quality and appearance; maintaining clean work areas; performing daily temperature checks; assisting servers to ensure guest satisfaction; and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience cooking at restaurant or full service hotel
- Culinary school 2-4 year degree preferred
