Job Summary
Create a safe and appealing property by completing routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, HVAC units, ice machines, fire systems, lawn equipment, and plumbing. Maintain work order assignment boards, track completed and pending tasks, and follow up on incomplete orders to inform guests and departments. Evaluate and select quality vendors that are reliable and provide good value. Supervise Maintenance Assistants on site, including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining staff while planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving complaints. This role requires at least three years of supervisory or lead mechanic experience in a hotel or related field and demonstrates general mechanical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and boiler operation.
