Job Summary
PRN Hotel AV Technician responsible for setting up and operating high-end audio-visual equipment for live/virtual/hybrid hotel events, troubleshooting issues, and tearing down equipment post-event. Works with clients and the in-house Operations team to ensure successful events; handles equipment setup/teardown and loading/unloading, operates audio, visual, and lighting gear for live and virtual formats, provides excellent customer service, ensures equipment is functional and safely presented, troubleshoots issues, and fulfills other duties to support Markey’s events. Shift hours vary with business needs, with some evenings and weekends required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a good working knowledge of all types of audio visual equipment including operation, set-up, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently, and follow directions from the supervisor or on-site leader.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, and maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
- Physical demands include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
