Job Summary
Manage all hotel finance functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll while monitoring cash flow and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure compliance with financial controls, statutory requirements, and GST/BAS/PAYG regulations. Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports alongside budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Partner with Department Heads to drive financial awareness, analyze business performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Support the leadership, coaching, and development of the Finance team, including onboarding and performance management, while acting as the Financial Controller in their absence when required.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- Experience in a supervisory, management accounting or similar finance role
- Strong knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation and financial compliance requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, hotel or accommodation industry experience highly regarded
