Job Summary
Hostess at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, greets guests warmly on arrival, manages reservations and seating to ensure a seamless dining experience, escorts guests to tables, maintains waitlists, coordinates with servers and kitchen staff, handles guest inquiries and special arrangements (VIPs, celebrations, dietary needs), monitors dining area cleanliness and ambiance, answers phone bookings, and upholds Marriott and Ritz-Carlton service standards with professional grooming and customer-focused service. Requires standing/walking for extended periods, flexibility with shifts, weekends, and holidays, and a high standard of grooming; English fluency and prior luxury hotel or fine dining experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant preferred
- Familiarity with Marriott systems or reservation platforms is an advantage
- Fluency in English
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
