Host, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar

Host role at Wildlight Kitchen + Bar in Vancouver, BC. You will warmly greet guests, register guest parking if required, escort guests to tables and assist with seating; communicate special instructions, allergies or celebrations to the server; maintain knowledge of menu items; answer the phone, handle reservations in the reservation system, receive takeout orders, and enter orders in the system; perform light cleaning duties (sweeping, front window cleaning) and ensure menus are clean and intact; assist guests in locating their server; reset tables and help clear for groups; thank guests and invite them to return. Supports other areas of the restaurant as needed. Required/asset considerations include previous restaurant/host experience (asset), proficiency with POS systems (asset), and TIPS Academy 16-hour course (asset). An excellent written and verbal communicator who can multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment is expected.
