Job Summary
Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, building meaningful relationships by remembering names and preferences. Manage reservations, waitlists, walk-ins, and dining room flow using RESY to balance pacing and service. Answer phones with polished communication and strategically seat guests while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment. Support opening and closing duties to keep the host stand organized. Requires at least 18 years old, food handling certification, and ability to lift 20 pounds. Located in Snider Plaza, New Orleans, with a flexible schedule and medical benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Certified for food handling as required by state and local agencies
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a client-facing role where hospitality, presentation, and guest relationships were held to a high standard preferred
- Backgrounds in fine dining, luxury retail, boutique fitness, hotels, concierge services, nightlife, wellness, or similar guest-focused environments are highly valued
- Professional and polished written and verbal communication skills
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal presence
- Naturally hospitable, detail-oriented, organized, and highly collaborative
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to professionalism
- Familiarity with RESY or similar reservation platforms is a plus, but trainable for the right individual
- Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a hospitality-driven organization
