Job Summary
Exceed guests’ expectations by providing a high standard of service as Host at The Floating Green Restaurant. Greet and assist guests, maintain the appearance of your designated section, and contribute to smooth service with teamwork. Respond to interactions in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner, and assist with cashier duties and payment transactions as needed. Sell and suggest items based on product knowledge (including food, wine, and liquor) and uphold Hagadone Hospitality philosophy. Maintain knowledge of menu items, participate in stock and station upkeep, and support safety and cleanliness during shifts. Requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60% of shift, walk substantial distances, stair/climb as needed, and convey a positive, organized presence with good handwriting and memory for duties. Passion for guest service, strong verbal/social skills, and comfortable handling money. This role is typically in-person at the Coeur d'Alene restaurant with a five- to ten-hour shift depending on scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school education or equivalent experience
- Experience: two years in Food and Beverage industry
- Able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be at least 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
- Knowledgeable about food, wine, and liquor
- Capacity to stand for up to five hours
- Basic math and money handling skills
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying requirements as listed
