Host/Hostess greets guests upon arrival, seats guests at clean, dry tables with proper seating rotation, describes promotions, takes initial beverage orders, assists other service personnel to ensure total guest satisfaction, addresses guest concerns, and maintains brand standards and guest areas. Responsibilities include managing the waiting list, providing courteous service, observing cash handling procedures, operating the point-of-sale system, and aiding with to-go orders. The role requires strong guest service skills, teamwork, basic math, ability to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work holidays, nights, and weekends. Proficiency in English and adherence to Denny’s Guiding Principles are expected; the position may require lifting up to 30 lbs and ongoing collaboration with restaurant staff to ensure a welcoming dining experience.
