Host

Host/Hostess greets guests upon arrival and seats them at clean, dry tables, answers guest questions, describes promotions, and assists other service staff to ensure total guest satisfaction. The role requires greeting guests promptly, maintaining a guest waiting list, handling cash and POS transactions, taking initial beverage orders, assisting with To Go orders, and providing courteous service while adhering to Denny’s Guiding Principles. The candidate should have strong guest service skills, basic math, ability to stand and move for extended periods, and the reliability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, nights, and weekends. Knowledge of menu offerings and brand standards, along with teamwork, is essential; adherence to health and safety regulations and proper dress/grooming standards is expected.
