Job Summary
Greet and welcome guests, manage the waiting list and seating arrangements, and maintain a clean entrance area. Escort guests to tables, present menus, and communicate wait times while collaborating with servers and kitchen staff. Monitor dining areas for table turnover, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with cashiering duties. Uphold hygiene standards and maintain knowledge of the menu, including allergen information. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and hold a valid Food Handlers Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling guest information and seating arrangements
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
- Must be at least sixteen years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergen information, is a plus
- A positive and team-oriented attitude, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS – Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity
- Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant environment is preferred
