Job Summary
Greet and seat guests promptly, answer reservations and waitlist inquiries, and manage the host stand by setting up and taking down the station per procedures. Deliver food, clear tables, and maintain table appearance through pre-bussing, checking drink levels, and removing clutter. Sanitize dishes and glasses, empty trash, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, and inspect restrooms for cleanliness and supplies. Communicate guest needs to cooks, servers, and managers, and calmly address angry guests by notifying a manager when issues cannot be resolved immediately. Maintain a tidy environment, monitor the building perimeter, and foster a cooperative atmosphere with all team members.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to work nights including weekends/holidays
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniform
- Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer system
- Must be able to make change correctly
- Must be able to make credit card transactions accurately
- Must be able to deliver plates, food and clear tables
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be able to walk or stand most of a 6-8 hour shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and perform cleaning duties
- Must be able to lift and carry supplies and bus tubs of up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to clearly communicate guest's needs to other employees including cooks, servers, and managers
- Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests
- Must be able to notify a manager immediately if a matter cannot be corrected in a timely manner
- Must have professional phone skills
- Must be able to hear well with loud background noise
- Must be able to answer the telephone and respond to guest requests
- Must be able to greet and seat guests at tables or in waiting areas guests in a friendly manner
- Must be able to attend to guests' needs when delivering food
- Must be able to check back with guests to ensure their satisfaction
- Must be able to answer phones in regards to reservations/wait lists/transfer to other departments
- Must be able to maintain table appearance by pre-bussing, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing extra napkins if necessary
- Must be able to remove dishes and glasses from tables and sanitize between parties
- Must be able to keep host stand clean and tidy
- Must be able to set up & take down the host station according to opening and closing procedures
- Must be able to maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company team members
- Must be able to monitor cleanliness of the outside perimeter of the building
- Must be able to empty trash, sweep, mop &/or vacuum the restaurant floor when available
- Must be able to coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs
- Must be able to inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies
- Must be able to clean restrooms when necessary
- Ability to commute/relocate
- Shift availability: Nights & Weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
- 18+ years of age, preferred
- Alcohol and wine knowledge a plus
- Ability to understand and work with a sense of urgency
- Preference given to those with open availability
- Experience: Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
