Job Summary
The Host/ess is responsible for delivering a friendly greeting to guests upon arrival, seating guests promptly, and bidding them farewell. Duties include managing guest flow, carrying drinks to tables, maintaining an organized host stand, addressing guest concerns with a positive attitude, and completing various side work tasks. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, experience in a related role, and be familiar with restaurant operations. Physical demands include the ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License
- 18+ years of age
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
- Minimum of one (1) years related experience
- Familiarity with Opentable
- Proper lifting techniques
- Guest relations
- Sanitation and safety
- Safe alcohol service
- Full service restaurant operations
- Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public
