Job Summary
Drive the door, analyze waitlist capacity, and plot reservations for busy nights while directing shift flow. Politely answer phones to verify wait times, finalize bookings, and handle to-go orders. Openly greet guests, manage customer distribution among wait staff, and entertain guests during arrivals and departures. Ensure the host station is fully stocked and clean, upload daily floor plans into Open Table, and notify management of large parties. Maintain full control of customer flow and observe tables for seating status.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
- availability to work flexible hours including morning, afternoons, evening, nights, weekends and or holidays
- ability to work independently and carry out assignments within the parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- proficiency in a variety of restaurant-based computer software programs, such as POS, MS Office, Open Table and other restaurant management software
- reliable transportation
- reliable, consistent work attendance
