Job Summary
Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner while ensuring prompt recognition and seating of all guests in assigned outlets. Assist servers and cashiers in servicing guests, collecting payments, and preparing cashier reports at the end of the shift. Take reservations, answer telephone calls according to standards, and perform opening and closing duties per the established checklist. Maintain high personal appearance standards, comply with Aimbridge Hospitality safety and service regulations, and attend required training meetings. Know state liquor laws, menu specials, and room service procedures to provide attentive, courteous service throughout the dining experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
- Ability to routinely meet deadlines
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to comply with certification requirements as required for position to include Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness Safety etc
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
