Job Summary
Host greets guests entering the restaurant, assigns seating, and assists with table setup and teardown. Responsibilities include balancing cash bank, operating the POS system, ringing guest checks, directing waitstaff, stocking supplies, pre-busing/bussing tables, folding linens, and performing additional side work as assigned. Requires strong customer-service and communication skills, ability to count currency, operate payroll/restaurant paperwork, and handle lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced, mostly indoor environment with occasional outdoor work and exposure to smoke and cleaning chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- No formal education required
- Must be able to operate POS register
- Must be able to count currency
- Must be able to complete restaurant paperwork
- Greet guests within 45 seconds after guests are seated
- Possess good customer relations skills
- Possess good communication skills
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
