Job Summary
Host PRN in a hospital food service setting. Responsibilities include serving meals to assigned areas, delivering meals to patients and guests, acting as a liaison between food service and other departments, and preparing limited food items (salads, sandwiches, entrees, desserts). Also delivers, tracks, sets up food, stocks supplies, and performs daily cleaning per standards. Provides excellent customer service using established scripts and may assist in other areas such as the dish room. Requires teamwork, adherence to safety and regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, DHHS, OSHA), and confidentiality. Opportunity to transition to full-time. Education and experience in a food-service/hospital environment are preferred; high school diploma or GED is acceptable.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED Equivalent preferred
- Experience in food service or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to work hours as needed to cover leaves of absence, PTO, sick calls, staffing shortages
