Warmly greet and seat guests; manage seating and wait times; provide accurate wait quotes; interact with guests to enhance the dining experience; operate the electronic seating system to maintain server rotation; present menus and inform guests of specials; introduce servers and communicate seating status to managers; monitor tables and assist with bussing; take drink or appetizer orders as needed and maintain refills; keep host stand stocked with menus and kids’ materials; answer questions about the menu and restaurant; handle to-go orders when applicable; direct guests to appropriate sections; maintain cleanliness of restrooms and front area; ensure management is aware of waiting applicants and appointments; create a friendly and inviting welcome for all job applicants and manage hiring paperwork.
