Job Summary
Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner, ensuring prompt recognition and efficient service throughout their dining experience. Assist servers and cashiers in collecting payments, processing tips, and taking reservations while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Perform opening and closing duties, answer telephone inquiries, and ensure menu quality control according to established checklists. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including food handler and alcohol awareness certifications, and attend required meetings and training. Know state liquor laws, current menu specials, and service protocols to provide a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
- Ability to routinely meet deadlines
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to comply with certification requirements as required for position to include Food Handlers Alcohol Awareness Safety etc
