Job Summary
Host/Hostess greets guests, provides accurate information over the phone and in person, informs guests about servers, manages reservations and seating flow, answers phones and stays knowledgeable about restaurant and hotel activities, assists in to-go orders, and maintains awareness of floor plan and guest counts. Requires ability to stand, walk, and assist with table turnover, with proficiency in hospitality knowledge and guest services to deliver an excellent first and last impression. Familiarity with hotel facilities and local information to respond to guest questions is expected, along with the ability to coordinate with managers for wait or table touches and to communicate with servers.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in guest services or front-of-house hospitality preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage reservations and seating
- Knowledge of restaurant and hotel operations preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods; able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
